Congratulations to Brother Ovais, who recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised £1,625 for Palestinian orphans!
Ovais wrote on his facebook following his trek:
“All praise to Allah, On Thursday 25th February 9.30am local time I managed to reach the “Roof of Africa” standing tall at just under 20,000ft. Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest free standing mountain in the world. My target had always been to raise money for Palestinian orphans and to reach the top. Mentally and physically it was the hardest thing to date. Six months hard-core training finally paid off. I would like thank my lovely wife for the support and encouragement. Without you this would not have been possible. Hopefully I’ve set an example for our boys. If you put your heart and soul into something you can achieve anything. Thank you all for the donations. Big thanks to brothers Ebrahim Darr, Salahaddin Salman, sisters Amna Afzal and Yasmin Aeskerem for your support and the rest of the Interpal team.”
