Against The Odds:  18 year-old Ibrahim from Gaza invents equipment to produce cooking gas

Gaza has
been under siege for 8 years, preventing the import of essential items that
enable Palestinians to lead normal lives. This includes gas and fuel, meaning
that the majority are prevented from travelling, cooking or heating their homes.

Ibrahim Saad
lives in the Gaza Strip and developed a way to combat the problem for his
family. At just 18 years old, while experimenting in his home workshop, Ibrahim succeeded in converting hydrogen
gas in order to power an electrical generator
. His family is now able to use cooking
gas at home, thanks to his ingenious invention.
